Let’s face it, ladies, we all like a little bit of shopping and when on holiday, there is no exception to the rules! So with this in mind, let me take you to one of the most recent shopping malls which opened in Tenerife South…. Siam Mall.
What is even more attractive to visit this place is the FREE buses that are available from the main locations of Adeje, Las Americas and Los Cristianos. Next time you are walking around and you see a bus stop sign for Siam Park, check out next to this sign and you will see a bus stop for Siam Mall too. The FREE buses also bring you back to where they collected you, making your day a perfect opportunity to shop at your own leisure and costing you nothing on transport.
It has over 1,100 FREE parking spaces so what is there not to like about this place!
The complex opened in May 2015 and attracted big brand names such as Zara, Guess, Pandora, Timberland and Mango. There are around 70 shops in the complex and what I can say is, if you are looking for some good quality holiday items at reasonable prices, then this place is definitely worth a visit. It is ideal for bikini’s or summer clothing (when the UK market has stopped selling in store due to winter months), so keep your money and head out here for a few holiday essentials!
The interior of Siam Mall is carefully planned, spacious with a touch of luxurious feel about it. All tastefully decorated in an oriental theme. It is kept cool and airy so it is perfect for shopping on those blistering hot days when it is just too hot to sit on the beach or the cloudy days when it is still warm but not enough sun to sit out and sunbathe.
One of my favourite features was the water fountain. I just the loved design and simplicity of it. A great focus piece on the lower floor and after a few minutes, you will see steam rising from it to offer a more dramatic touch.
The oriental theme continues throughout the whole of the mall and even the toilets are immaculate, marble effect style with features of gold oriental masks. There has been no cost spared when it comes down to the design and budget of Siam Mall and I was really pleased to see that they had continued this touch of luxury into the public toilets. All carefully planned and installed to impress.
Some of the features have been specially made in Thailand and another of my favourite features was the fishing boat.
There are plenty of places to eat with restaurants on the upper level, down to cafes with delicious patisseries, sandwiches and snacks. There is even a Subway and more recently, a Starbucks to add to the tourist’s delight. I settled for one of the delicious strawberry cakes and I was in my element just checking out the choice.
My love for elephants is known well to my family and friends and so here at Siam Mall, I encountered some gorgeous statues of these wonderful creatures, all carved and white in colour. Thailand has such an artistic and interesting theme to it and seeing it in Tenerife is really nice. The whole ambience and features were a perfect combination, plenty of shrubs and greenery to give that healthy feel to the place.
How would this wonderful place be even better? if the shopping experience had some calming oriental music in the background, just to take away that little stillness but other than that, perfect!
With the brightly coloured statues, oriental themes and quality shops, Siam Mall is a great place to head to, even just to see the stunning artwork. It is right next door to Siam Mall so again, it is ideal if you take an hour or so here after your water fun adventure and check out some bargains. The FREE bus will take you back to your destination so you have nothing to lose but plenty to gain. Make sure you check out the times of the last FREE bus from Siam Mall. There is also a taxi rank available just outside so you will not be stuck for choice.
So next time you are taking your vacation in Tenerife South, hop on the FREE bus and have a look at what Siam Mall has to offer. You can find out more by visiting www.ccsiammall.com/about-us
